Team Winning’s first year of competition was in 2002 which saw the Driver, Gordon Winning, finish 3rd Overall and the Navigator, Robin Laird, win the Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship.
With a new engine and a year's experience in the Escort, the following year brought our first top ten finish. Unfortunately during 2004 we came to a sudden stop against a tree whilst competing in the Jim Clark and the car was put away for a rest.
During the break, the Escort was given a new lease of life with a new front end and it also became the first privateer car to be fitted with the Quaife 60G Sequential gearbox.
Now, in 2008, Team Winning will be competing in both the Scottish and North of England Tarmac Rally Championships.
